This Xtra Large Tapestry is a Burmese Craft called Kalaga .It is usually purchased in Thailand, though. There is a thin cotton backing .There are shiny thread, gold sequin and broken glass shards... sewn throughout to make this one BEAUTIFUL and UNIQUE piece!!!

This is the only piece we have that has thread and sequins sewn throughout, so there is no blank background shown....
This is a Cavalry and 6 Thai Dancers around him....
sewn on this panel which is 48" x 35"...................with a cotton border....
As this is a delicate, yet homespun handicraft, do not expect perfection like a machine made craft.....there will be some shards and beads missing.
